Dunes of Loon op Zand and Drunen
(Trees at the dunes)
At Loon op Zand, an area of natural dunes exist bordering a forest.
Nearly sunset viewed through the forest.
A single tree against the twilight.
A field of cut down trees, cut down to make room for the dunes.
A clump of trees:

(View over the city of Liege.)
Another trip to Liege.
The intercity train from Maastricht to Liege, here in Maastricht.
Looking out over the tracks towards Maastricht and Aachen, among other destinations.
The supports for the canopy in the sunshine.
Another shot of the triangular "window" at the side of the station.
The support and travel information displays.
Heading outside, this is the side of the station.
And a shot of the end of the canopy.
Crossing a cable / arch bridge near the station:
And a view over the city.

A regional train inside the station canopy.
View from the station, looking out at snowcovered mountains.
Triangular architecture inside the station.

Heusden
I went to the Dutch medieval town of Heusden a while back. It is a town built on an island, surrounded by protective earth walls.
First off, the entrance to the village from the land side:
Presumably a guard station in medieval times, this booth now serves as a bus stop.
A row of houses near the canal with very little reminding of modern times. (could someone move those cars?)
Another street, showing the church in the background.
The inner harbor:
A cannon protecting the harbor in medieval years:

Gare du Nord
Dusseldorf
(Air Berlin A330 sitting at the gate after arriving, with an Emirates 777-300 in te background)
I visited Dusseldorf's international airport last wednesday.
Here are the photos from it!
On arrival at the carpark, this Emirates 777-300 out of Dubai landed. It actually was one of the planes I really wanted to see so that is excellent timing.
The carpark and train station connect to the airport terminal by "Sky Train".
This brought me to the curved airport terminal:
The next pictures were taken from the panorama deck on top of the terminal.
An Aegean Airbus taking off with quite a few spectators.
A KLM Cityhopper Fokker 70 at the gate, preparing to leave for Amsterdam:
The Emirates 777-300 sitting at the gate:
An Air Berlin A330 making a difficult crosswind landing. Notice how the left landing gear is touching down while the right one is slightly higher:
Another Air Berlin flight arriving at a very empty platform.
A Lufthansa 737 shortly after take-off:
The KLM flight followed the example set by Lufthansa and was on her way to Amsterdam:
Another A330 operated by Air Berlin was welcomed to Dusseldorf!
The Emirates Boeing 777 being pushed back, ready to go back to Dubai.
The smaller A320-family Air Berlin taking off:
